Crossfield Engineering supply special purpose equipment and services to many industries in the UK and abroad, some of which are listed below - please see our case studies page for further examples. Brickworks - we have supplied a range of special purpose equipment from box feeders handling the raw clay, belt conveyors feeding the clay to other process equipment, equipment to feed the green bricks to the kilns and equipment for use in shrink wrapping the finished bricks. Concrete Products - we again provide basic handling and storage equipment for the raw materials, plus a range of special purpose equipment used in the actual mixing of the concrete, and the manufacture of paving slabs, kerbs, etc plus conveying and stacking of the final products.
Forges - we have supplied transfer car systems to carry forgings up to four tonnes in weight which load and unload the forgings to and from heat treatment furnaces, plus a range of conveyors to handle smaller items through various stages of the forging process. Pottery and Sanitary Wares - our range of equipment includes conveyors and manipulators to load and unload kiln cars which carry the delicate pottery through the kilns to transfer car handling for bulkier items such as bathroom basins, toilet bowls, baths, etc which require careful handling despite their size.  |
